Variations/Substitutions:
This recipe is easy to make and delicious. You really do need a food processor for this recipe, however. Many have tried in the blender and unless you've got yourself a nice Blend Tec, it never works out. Many a brownie mixture has failed... do not let this happen to you or your precious brownies!
I bought myself a simple Hamilton Beach food processor and it works great. I sprang for the 6 cup and I wish they would have had larger as many of my soups are more than 6 cups! Get a good one and keep it handy, it's one tool you'll always use!
Also, the icing makes quite a bit but I use all of it. Once you pour the icing over the brownies and place them in the freezer (then keep in fridge from there on out), they are always thick, fudgy and delicious! Use less if so desired.
As an added note, you may also add a tbsp of coconut oil to the brownie mixture to give it more solidification
